Winds and Piano

At the CajaCanarias Cultural Space in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, the 2nd “Chamber Music at the Foundation” Series: Winds and Piano takes place, a program that explores the expressive affinity between the piano and wind instruments through works by Ludwig van Beethoven and Francis Poulenc; Beethoven’s Piano and Winds Quintet, Op. 16—classically inspired and conversational in spirit—gives way to the refinement and energy of interwar Paris with Poulenc’s Sextet.
