"Our Dead" arrives on the stage of Espacio Cultural La Granja with a powerful production written and directed by Mariano Llorente. Inspired by the restorative encounters known as the “Vía Nanclares,” this fictional piece presents a heartbreaking face-to-face meeting between an octogenarian woman and the repentant ETA prisoner who murdered her son. The protagonist bears a double wound: she is both a victim of Francoist repression and of terrorism, and her personal losses shape a dialogue filled with tension, silences, and profound questions. The play confronts two of Spain’s major 20th-century tragedies—Francoist repression and ETA violence—in a moving act of remembrance and humanity that deeply impacts the audience.
