La Bajada del Diablo

The Bajada del Diablo is a Canarian librea held on the eve of the main day of the Patron Saint Festivities of La Verdellada, in honor of Our Lady of Lourdes. Since 2001, this performance has blended theater, pyrotechnics, street parades, and symbolic storytelling, portraying the battle between good and evil through the appearance of the Devil and Archangel Saint Michael. This edition features the debut of a new Devil figure, created by RonelArt, reaffirming the creative and communal strength of this unique tradition in the Canary Islands.
