Bluebeard’s Castle

Ópera de Tenerife presents its own production of "A kékszakállú herceg vára" (Bluebeard’s Castle) by Béla Bartók, preserving the original musical structure while offering a contemporary and intense interpretation. The staging moves away from medieval aesthetics, placing the action in an abstract and dehumanized space that symbolizes the protagonist’s mind, transforming the story into an exploration of memory, trauma, desire, identity and inner oppression.
