Romería de la Vará del Pescao

This holiday is celebrated on the last Friday of August in Arinaga in honor of local fishermen. It is not really a religious holiday, so we could not say that it is a pilgrimage. However, if there is a procession along the maritime avenue with the «Barca de La Vará» as protagonist. It is followed by around 20 boats with wheels that roast and distribute sardines to all attendees. The tour goes from Risco Verde all the way to the beach.
