La Guancha celebrates this feast in mid-August within the festivities in honor of its patron saint Ntra. Sra. of La Esperanza when hundreds of locals in typical costumes leave in pilgrimage to the mountains in search of beech branches. After their collection, they go to the town to route the streets that run the procession in honor of Our Lady of Hope.
It has its origin in a kind of pilgrimage that the neighbors owners of cargo animals, made to the mont, in order to collect branches of beech trees, with which later would adorn the streets of the procession and the town square. Currently the same route is carried out and even the stops that were made in the past are respected, where the neighbors were ""invited"" with products from the countryside and something to drink, passing through the streets of the town.
