Romeria en Honor a San Bartolomé

The Romería de La Galga, also known as "San Bartolo," is one of the most prominent celebrations in the municipality of Puntallana on La Palma island, held in honor of San Bartolomé. This festivity is highly popular and attracts a large number of people, being one of the most attended pilgrimages on the island, alongside those in Los Sauces and Barlovento. During the event, children and adults dress in traditional Canarian attire, starting the procession from La Longuera. Participants accompany decorated carts offering food and drinks, while various folk groups and musical bands enliven the journey. The festive day concludes with a dance at the Plaza de San Bartolo.
