The Road to Mecca

"The Road to Mecca" is presented at Teatro Víctor Jara as a stage production starring Lola Herrera, Natalia Dicenta, and Carlos Olalla, based on Athol Fugard’s play and inspired by the real-life figure of Helen Martins, a woman who rebelled against the institutions of her time to defend her right to live and create freely. The play charts the intimate journey of a nonconformist spirit who pursues desire and the light of inspiration beyond age or generation.
