In Singing the Poets of 27, the pianist, composer and singer Sheila Blanco has turned into songs a selection of poems of the best authors of the Generation of 27. Accompanied only by a piano, Sheila puts voice and rhythm to the verses of the poets Carmen Conde, Ernestina de Champourcin, Concha Méndez, Elisabeth Mulder, Margarita Ferreras, Josefina Romo Arregui and Dolores Catarinéu, playing a music that delves into the emotions that permeate his poems and that address universal themes, personalized in the lives of each poet such as love, pain, exile, beauty, grief, remorse... In Singing to the Poets of 27, Sheila makes a small presentation of each author, giving some strokes about her life and a brief contextualization of the poem before interpreting it.
