Fiesta del Queso

The Guía Cheese Festival is a flagship celebration in Santa María de Guía, Gran Canaria, that pays tribute to the town’s cheesemaking tradition, especially the renowned Queso de Flor de Guía. Declared a Festival of Tourist Interest in the Canary Islands, it features a diverse program including food and craft fairs, cheese tastings, children’s workshops, folk performances, and cultural activities. Taking place across the historic town center and the Montaña Alta district, the festival highlights the richness of local gastronomy and strengthens the value of the Protected Designation of Origin, becoming a festive gathering that celebrates the identity and craftsmanship of a land with a deep-rooted cheese heritage.
