Festivities of Santa Rosa de Lima

The Festivities in honor of Santa Rosa de Lima in the Barrio of Lanzarote, Valleseco, feature a variety of religious and festive events designed for the whole community, beginning with the celebration of the Eucharist at the Parish of San Vicente Ferrer, followed by a solemn procession with the image of Santa Rosa de Lima to the Barrio of Lanzarote, and then a triduum and several Eucharistic celebrations in honor of the saint. The festivities also include the First Magical Night of the Donkey, a highlight event in the Plaza de Lanzarote that features a donkey parade through the neighborhood streets and an exciting ribbon race, as well as various musical performances that entertain attendees and a wheelbarrow gymkhana with prizes for the funniest, best decorated, and fastest wheelbarrow. The celebration is enriched with Latin music that invites everyone to dance and a livestock and craft fair where visitors can explore and purchase local products, while children’s activities ensure fun for the whole family.
