El afecto ilustrado - Sol del Sur

The Teatro Pérez Galdós presents "El Afecto Ilustrado", a concert by the renowned chamber ensemble El Afecto Ilustrado, performing the string quintets with guitar by Italian composer Luigi Boccherini. Under the direction of Adrián Linares, winner of the 2020 Excellens Music Award for his contribution to the research and dissemination of ancient music in the Canary Islands, El Afecto Ilustrado offers a fresh and vibrant interpretation of these works, which reflect Madrid society at the end of the 18th century. This young and versatile ensemble, known for its historicist approach and its ability to bring 17th to 19th-century repertoire to the public, celebrates its tenth anniversary with a second recording dedicated to the String Quintets with Two Violas by José Palomino.
