El Hierro
The action takes place at the end of the 16th century, when Bishop Fernando de Rueda arrives in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria to take office. The queen of the forest nymphs must choose the character that will welcome the bishop, and decides to be Doramas, the Canary hero of the resistance to conquest by the crown of Castile. The news is not received in the same way in all the towns of the Canary Islands, represented here by Gáldar and Guía. The first, defender of the traditions that make up the identity of the Canarian people, and the second, defender of modernity and new airs that brought the Castilians. The debate between them will be resolved when Doramas and the bishop face off in a verbal duel, from which one of them will emerge the winner. At the same time as the history of the reception is developed, the history of the Canary Islands is represented, since the "rediscovered" and began its conquest in the early fifteenth century, until the time when Bishop Rueda arrived in Las Palmas, at the end of the sixteenth century.
