Carnival of Santa Cruz de Tenerife: Adult murgas contest

The Murgas (satirical singing groups) competition is one of the most popular events of the Tenerife Carnival. These groups of singers perform songs about current affairs and the competition culminates in a grand final in which the best murga in the capital is chosen.
Mark your calendars! The battle for Murga supremacy begins on 22, 23 and 24 January 2024, with each phase promising a crescendo of wit, music and satirical magic. The grand final will take place on Friday 26 January.
