Wreck close to La Isleta in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria
The ‘Kinder Island’ wreck is right of the northern tip of Gran Canaria in 22 metres of water. It sits off the wave swept coast of La Isleta in the island’s capital city and is only accessible on calm days.
Wreck with an intact propellor
The wreck of the ‘Kinder Island’, originally over 100 metres long, are spread over a sloping rocky platform. Amongst the mass of metal and rocks covered in weed and corals you find a memorable feature: One of the propellers remains intact with a blade embedded into a section of hull. The wreck is surrounded by colourful parrotfish and ornate wrasse along with schools of white trevally and amberjacks.
