Tradition, handicrafts and local music in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria
The Pueblo Canario, inspired by Canarian traditional architecture, is in the centre of Las Palmas in northeast Gran Canaria. Surrounded by the gardens and palm trees of Doramas park, its central square hosts several displays of folkloric music and dance every week. There’s also handicraft shops and a restaurant offering traditional Canary Islands food.
Museum in honour of Néstor de la Torre
Amongst the Pueblo Canario’s attractions is the Museo Néstor and its permanent exhibition of the works of internationally recognised Canarian artist Néstor de la Torre. He was also one of the creators of the Pueblo Canario space; the perfect place to enjoy traditional Canarian music, food and handicrafts within Las Palmas city.
