Walk past the Church of La Concepción, built in the 18th century, and on the right you'll see this traditional mansion that dates back to the 1800s. The entrance, with its thick walls on which you can see paintings of local landscapes, gives you an idea of what you'll find inside: an adorable inner courtyard, rooms where you can still get that old-world feeling even after being refurbished, and lots of peace and quiet, because even though it's situated in the historic quarter of Los Realejos (north of Tenerife), Hotel Rural Bentor is very quiet.

Everything is close by. The entrance hall leads to the courtyard, with a room full of modern furniture, surrounded by stone and ferns. This in turn leads to the bar, where all the meals (except on very sunny days) are served. Don't miss the sautéed vegetables and baked cheese! A wooden staircase leads to a bright glazed corridor where you'll find all the old, spacious rooms with slanted ceilings. The modern rooms are outward-facing, in the swimming pool area under the terrace, affording a view of Barranco de Godínez ravine.
