Refurbished winery on vertical terrain
Nestled in a 30,000 m2 vineyard in the northeast of Tenerife, in the picturesque town of Tegueste, we find El Lomo Winery. Its modern facilities currently have a quality laboratory and a tasting room, amongst other features. In addition to one cellar where the wines are made, it has another special one for ageing the wines in barrels. The vertical terrain—with an elevation variance of 5 metres—means that all kinds of processes can be run based on gravity, and avoiding the use pumps, which would decrease the quality of the must.
Guided tours and tasting room
The guided tour takes visitors through the facilities and vineyards and allows them to enjoy the landscape and surroundings. It ends with a tasting accompanied by snacks. The winery makes red, rosé, white and monovarietal wines under the “El Lomo” label and Tacoronte-Acentejo D.O. Its modern and distinctive facilities are easy to access and have toilets and parking. The tasting room has capacity for 80 people, who can sit around pretty tables made from carob wood. The winery is also a venue for different types of events.
