Wines full of character from one of the most widely visited wineries in Spain
La Geria Winery was founded by the Rijo family at the end of the XIX century in the natural landscape of La Geria. At present, it is run by the Melián family and is one of the most widely visited wineries in Spain with an average of 300,000 visitors a year. In a mantle of volcanic ash formed by the eruptions of 1730 and 1736, this winery harvests the muscatel and malvasía varieties of grape for the making of young wines, malvasía wine and red wines of carbonic maceration all under the Lanzarote Guarantee of Origen label.
Guided tours with wine tasting and aperitifs
La Geria Winery is open to the public from Monday to Friday all year round. The guided tour consists of a walk around the winery and estate complemented with wine tasting and an aperitif. Its products can be bought in the winery which also has a restaurant, La Cepa restaurant where a wide selection of tapas made with local products can be tried.
