Pico del Inglés Viewpoint

Panoramic views in Tenerife

This viewpoint at the top of the green mountain range of Anaga in northern Tenerife, is an excellent opportunity to put your camera to the test. Especially if you can take 360-degree photos. Looking east on clear days you can see the whole mountain range all the way to the city of Santa Cruz. To the west, the island rises majestically from the sea to the highest mountain peak of Teide. With medium to good visibility Gran Canaria and La Palma can also be seen rising from the sea.

Hiking through the mountains of Anaga

In a display of simplicity to respect the environment, this viewpoint has very little infrastructure: parking, a well-maintained short trail that lets you change paths with ease and a wider fenced area at the very top. Hiking lovers should not forget that the PR-TF2, from Taborno to Valleseco, passes right by the Pico del Inglés, giving keen walkers the opportunity to enter the heart of the famous laurel forests that characterise Anaga.

Sustainability
Sostenibilidad
- Never leave waste of any type lying around, including cigarette butts. Leftover food leads to a proliferation of rats and wild cats, which pose a serious threat to the fauna.
- Respect the animals. Do not bother them or feed them. If you see an injured specimen, you can call the emergency number: 112. Do not pick flowers or plants.
- Do not pick up or take away stones or any other item from the natural environment. And do not move them to pile them up into sadly famous 'towers'.
- Respect and look after the different items of public furniture (information panels, railings, seats, lighting, binoculars and telescopes, etc.).
- Respect the signposting along trails. Leaving the set paths and spaces causes damage to the environment and could also be dangerous for you and anyone with you.
- Try not to alter the peace of the environment with excessive noise (loud music, yelling, etc.).
