This route is situated in southern Tenerife and takes you up through pine forest terrain, on technical volcanic trails and easier dirt trails up to Teide. It is constantly ascending and part one of the Bluetrail Ultra Race.
It starts with an urban part going from Puerto Los Cristianos and and from here on to dirt trails that pass through the valleys, arriving at Arona. The climb continues up to Vilaflor on rocky trails and through pine forests where the route changes terrain.Once passing the pines, the trail takes off into lunar landscape up to the top of Guajara. From here the trail passes along on gravel through spectacular landscape with amazing views until arriving at the foot of Cañadas del Teide. From this point you see how gigantic Teide is. The route ends at Parador Las Cañadas del Teide.
The feeling of running this route is like no other. Mount Teide makes everything else seem so small and minute. This means that distances seem greater and it requires more effort. This route is difficult and therefore recommended for the experienced trail runner.
