Two golf courses on the same complex close to Maspalomas
Salobre Golf & Resort, close to the large Maspalomas resort, is a resort with two different golf courses. Salobre Sur, created in 2000 by architect Roland Fauré, working closely with famed architect Robert Trend Jones, and Salobre Norte, created in 2008 by famous architect Ron Kirby. Both courses blend into the arid landscape of south Gran Canaria and offer views down to the sea and up to the mountains.
Playing golf by a five star resort in Gran Canaria
The two Salobre Golf & Resort courses are by the five star Sheraton Salobre Golf Resort & Spa. Salobre Sur is laid out within the valleys of the area and is open to players of all handicaps. The most memorable hole is the par 3 number 11 as it requires a firm stroke to prevent the ball dropping into a gully. Salobre Norte is a more challenging course set in more rugged surroundings. It’s par five hole 5 requires a good driver as the ball must cross a volcanic rock canyon.
