The Smoke of Progress: El Correíllo La Palma

This exhibition presents the Correíllo La Palma, a historic ship that transformed life in the Canary Islands since 1912. Through various thematic units, visitors can explore its impact on communication and the maritime landscape, as well as its heritage value and the recovery process it has undergone.
The exhibit includes original pieces from the ship, artworks, and historical objects, accompanied by audiovisual projections. An immersive atmosphere will transport visitors to an island port in the early 20th century. The history of the Correíllo La Palma spans from its construction and service to the current efforts to restore it and equip it with a renewable energy engine.
