The reenactment of the barter tradition

The reenactment of the barter tradition “Al Paso de la Cumbre” celebrates its 19th edition as a tribute to the historic trade routes between the northern and southern regions of Tenerife. With the participation of numerous locals dressed in traditional attire, the event revives the memory of past generations who crossed mountain paths carrying goods to support their families.
More than a historical representation, it is an act of cultural heritage appreciation and recognition of the social bonds that emerged from rural bartering, blending identity, tradition, and community participation.
