Romería de San Isidro Labrador - Guía de Isora

Guía de Isora celebrates the Pilgrimage of San Isidro Labrador. According to newspaper archives, it was in 1953 when these celebrations resurfaced, after several years of good tomato crops in the early 1950s. Since that year the pilgrimage has not stopped being celebrated and thus becomes one of the oldest and rooted in Tenerife. One of the peculiarities of the Isorana pilgrimage are the riders who accompany the saint leading the procession on horseback. Dancers from different parts of the islands, such as those from El Hierro with their flutes and drums, also participate.
