The Bajada de Los Roques is a celebration in honor of San Roque held in the municipality of Fasnia, Tenerife. Unlike other romerías, it does not begin with a mass in the saint’s original temple, as the image remains all year in the Church of San Joaquín. The procession includes four stops lasting between 45 minutes and an hour, featuring music and local food gatherings (tenderete), and concludes with a lively open-air dance (verbena) for all attendees. Although it doesn’t follow all traditional Canarian customs, it includes folk music groups (parrandas), decorated vehicles, and a festive atmosphere filled with shared music, food, and joy. The procession starts at Plaza Francisco Delgado y Díaz Flores and ends at the esplanade in the Los Roques neighborhood.
