Pilgrimage of the Virgin of Candelaria to Santa Cruz

The Virgin of Candelaria will visit Santa Cruz de Tenerife in October, resuming the seven-year pilgrimage cycle established in 2001 by Bishop Felipe Fernández, alternating between Santa Cruz and La Laguna. The route will include symbolic stops in Barranco Hondo, El Rosario, and El Tablero, and will be coordinated by the Diocese of Tenerife, the Santa Cruz City Council, the Candelaria City Council, and other entities to ensure its proper organization. This will be the first visit since 2018, when the Virgin made an extraordinary pilgrimage to both cities to mark the bicentennial of the Diocese of Nivariense.
