Ópera Chaxiraxi

As part of the Festivities in honor of Fiestas en honor a Nuestra Señora de Candelaria, the opera Chaxiraxi will be presented to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of the discovery of the Virgin of Candelaria. This is a very special musical event for the Canary Islands. The libretto is by Benito Cabrera, with music and direction by Emilio Coello. The choir master will be Esther Wagenaar, and the poster was created by Jesús Pérez Marichal. Soloists, the Orchestra, and the Contemporary Choir of Tenerife will participate. The event will take place at the Basilica of Our Lady of Candelaria.
