Maïa Barouh in concert

Maïa Barouh is a French-Japanese artist who blends ancestral Japanese chants with bilingual rap, groove, electronic music, and chanson, creating a unique style defined by creative freedom. Her distinctive vocal technique, originating from an island in southern Japan, is paired with a bold and percussive flute playing. Raised in a musical environment, she developed her instrumental skills from an early age before launching a career in Japan that, following a collaboration with producer Martin Meissonnier, led her to tour across Europe with the album Kodama.
