El Risco Vertical Race

The Carrera Vertical El Risco is a demanding mountain race organized by the Buenavista del Norte Town Hall, consisting of a timed 3.7 km ascent with a +700 m elevation gain up to the Plaza de Los Bailaderos in Teno Alto. The course follows historic trails, including the old route that once connected the lower and upper parts of Buenavista, surrounded by a unique natural setting. Along the way, runners face challenging sections such as rock-carved steps and rugged landscapes that echo the local heritage.
