The 9th edition of the Cervantine Days in Villa de La Orotava is being held with a renewed program that embraces innovation and gives prominence to the younger population. This cultural event includes lectures, exhibitions, guided tours, and literary workshops, bringing Cervantes' legacy and local history closer to a wide range of audiences. The program opens with the lecture “The Canary Islands in Cartography” by Ricardo González Martín, aimed at both students and the general public. Additionally, the exhibition “Meeting History,” focusing on La Orotava in the 16th and 17th centuries, will be inaugurated, along with the guided nature walk “Origins,” organized by the MAIT. As a new feature, the literary workshop “Cervantes' Exquisite Corpse,” involving active participation from local students, highlights the event’s commitment to education and creative engagement with younger generations.
