On the night of Friday 16 February, Puerto de la Cruz will host one of the most eagerly-awaited moments of its Carnival. Think you've seen it all when it comes to carnivals? Think again! The ’Mascarita Ponte Tacón' (Masquerader, Put on Your Heels) isn't just for participants, it's for everyone. Come be a part of the infectious energy and witness the flamboyant spectacle first hand.
Carnival-goers are really looking forward to it and the ‘mascaritas' (masqueraders) will invade Puerto de la Cruz dressed in their finest costumes and, of course, with killer heels!
After the rigorous measurement of the heels under the watchful eye of hundreds of people, the parade will begin with cheers, spills and enough outrageous footwear to make Cinderella swoon.
