"North American artist Sarah McCoy, one of the most extravagant figures in contemporary music, and discovered in Paris by the famous pianist Chilly Gonzales, has just released ""HIGH PRIESTESS"" - her second album. She will be presenting it in the Canary Islands as part of the brilliant closing performance for Otoño Cultural CajaCanarias 2023.

Within a few short years, Sarah went from playing piano and singing in the hottest joints in New Orleans to performing for enthusiastic crowds in Paris's trendiest nightclubs. In 2017, she opened for Jarvis Cocker and Chilly Gonzales in Paris as they presented their album ""Room 29"". Surprised by her performance, virtuoso pianist Chilly Gonzales spontaneously invited her to the studio of his regular collaborator Renaud Letang (Manu Chao, Seu Jorge). The chance meeting led to her signing a record deal with Blue Note and Sarah moved to Paris. Produced by Chilly and Renaud, Sarah's debut album ""Blood Siren"" was full of striking details that perfectly capture the singer's haunting, heart-pounding, heart-stopping wail. It sold more than 15,000 CDs and records, was streamed over than 2,250,000 times and was acclaimed by the press in France (Best World Album 2019 by Télérama), listed in the ""20 best of 2019"" by Nouvel Obs, and in Germany (Vogue, Stern Magazine).
