Basic Sign Language Manual for Breaking Hearts is a theatrical play written and directed by Roberto Pérez Toledo, conceived as a posthumous tribute to the filmmaker from Lanzarote after his passing in 2022. Produced by the National Drama Center, the piece tells the story of Lucho, a young deaf man, and Jaime, who after meeting by chance begin a relationship shaped by the learning of sign language, their first flirtations, and the exploration of their most intimate emotions.
