The phenomenon of women’s football was born in England, during the years of the First World War. Teams that became legendary, formed by the workers of the textile or ammunition factories, and that in a short time achieved enormous affection and attention from the public, provoking hostility by the male institutions of football. After the war many of these teams were forced to dissolve by law after a few years of incredible success. This is the story of one of them.
