XIX Festival Encuentros en el Mar. La Palma

The Festival Encuentros en el Mar:Trans*culturalidades has started its 19th edition, on the island of La Palma, with a Manga Workshop, given by the queer illustrator Wayward Jon (@giogiostart). This is the start of a festival that makes LGBTIQ+ diversity visible and which will offer film, performing arts, storytelling and debates in the coming weeks in Tenerife and Gran Canaria. Diversity, equality, tolerance and education are the backbone of the Festival Encuentros en el Mar (www.encuentrosenelmar.com), which since 2003 has been establishing cultural dialogues on different shores of the sea and which expresses the heterogeneity that exists both in the Canary Islands and outside the islands.
