La Elvira: Story of an Emigrant

The Teatro Circo de Marte presents "La Elvira: Story of an Emigrant", a play that brings to life the odyssey of 106 passengers who, in 1949, embarked on a perilous journey aboard the schooner Elvira, hoping to reach Venezuela. For 36 days, men, women, and children endured uncertainty, united by the dream of a better future. Based on letters from a passenger and newspaper reports from the time, this production pays tribute to those who risked everything for a new beginning, offering a poignant tale of migration and the search for a home.
