Festivities of Nuestra Señora del Carmen

The festivities in honor of Nuestra Señora del Carmen in La Gomera will pay tribute to the patroness of fishermen and the sea. These celebrations will include maritime processions, where the image of the Virgin will be carried by boat, accompanied by prayers and songs symbolizing the protection of fishermen. Additionally, more religious events will take place, such as the Solemn Mass upon arrival at the Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Assumption. The celebration will also feature popular games and large dances enlivened by various local groups.
