Festivities in honor of San Juan in Valle Gran Rey

Valle Gran Rey enthusiastically celebrates its traditional festivities in honor of Saint John the Baptist, the town’s patron saint. The celebration begins with the preparation of the “Ramo de Arure” at the Assisted Living Facility of Our Lady of the Kings, followed by a shared toast and a popular procession accompanied by traditional “chácaras” and drums to the Plaza de Los Santos Reyes. A Eucharist is then held in honor of the saint, followed by a lively dance with live music. The festivities continue with another day of celebration, including mass, a procession, and a shared meal accompanied by performances from local music groups.
