Blame It on Pandora

The Insular Auditorium of La Gomera presents "Blame It on Pandora", a theatrical production that blends monologues and music to explore the stories of six women from Greek mythology: Pandora, Persephone, Eurydice, Penelope, Ariadne, and Helen. Narrated from the perspective of Cassandra, played by actress and comedian Antonia San Juan, the play offers a critical and humorous take on the roles assigned to women from ancient Greece to the present day. The staging features original musical pieces performed by a string quartet and singer Ada Rapisarda, who give voice to each of the heroines, expressing their experiences of abuse, abandonment, and neglect.
