Tennis Maspalomas.
Maspalomas, in the south of Gran Canaria, consolidates its position as a venue for the best
men's professional tennis with the second edition of the ATP eó Hotels Maspalomas
Challenger, a tournament belonging to the ATP Challenger Tour that will bring some of the
most important emerging tennis players in the world. It will take place from 26 November to 3
December 2023 at the Conde Jackson Tennis Maspalomas Club.
It is a 75 Series event, one of the events that attracts the most players from all over the world,
players who are looking to score points to gain access to major tournaments such as the
Australian Open. In its last edition, this competition brought together athletes from up to 33
different nationalities, including Germany, Canada, USA, Australia, Great Britain, France, Russia,
Argentina, Denmark and Hungary, among others.
Having positioned itself in 2022 as an international reference in the European winter season,
the main attraction that sets this event apart from other men's tennis competitions is that it is
held in the month of November with excellent weather conditions for training and competing
outdoors when in the rest of the countries it can only be held in indoor facilities.
This is an important qualitative leap for the Canary Islands, which last year celebrated its first
ATP in Maspalomas after 21 years, when in 2002 a young Mallorcan called Rafael Nadal won
the ATP Challenger of Maspalomas.
The ATP eó Hotels Maspalomas Challenger will become Maspalomas, in Gran Canaria, the
epicentre of the best men's professional tennis for a week, with the visibility that this type of
sporting event brings to the organising cities. The south of Gran Canaria and more specifically
Maspalomas are a top level sports tourism destination with guarantees of ""clay and sun"" all
year round and these tournaments represent a fantastic showcase for these virtues"
