Traída del agua

In Telde, the popular celebration known as the Traída del Agua takes place, a tradition that originally invoked rain. Today, it has transformed into a water festival where attendees have fun soaking each other with buckets, water guns, and other creative items. During the event, there is a walking route to the irrigation channel and the basilica of the Virgin, while water is splashed and dancing occurs to the rhythm of the local band. This festivity is held on the first or second Sunday of August, always on the weekend following the Day of Las Nieves.
