"Spain from the Outside" is presented at the Sala Gabriel Rodó as a historical and musical journey that explores how Spain was perceived abroad from the late 18th century onwards and how that perception influenced the development of Spanish classical music, shaping a program that combines musical performance and narration to reflect on clichés, reinterpretations, and distinctive visions of rhythms and dances that travelled beyond Spain’s borders.
