Romería y Ofrenda Marinera - Fiestas del Carmen en el Barrio de la Isleta

The Romería y Ofrenda Marinera of the Fiestas del Carmen in the Barrio de La Isleta is one of the most iconic events in the area. This procession, which pays homage to the Virgen del Carmen, patron saint of sailors, brings together locals and visitors in a festive parade through the neighborhood streets. The carretas, designed as wheeled boats and each representing one of the parish churches in the area, are carried by the participants to the Iglesia del Carmen, where a floral offering is made. The celebration culminates at Plaza de Manuel Becerra with the 'Noche Marinera', an evening of music and dance featuring five parrandas, offering a unique experience of tradition and community.
