Ridiculous Loves of Youth

Teatro Guiniguada presents "Ridiculous Loves of Youth", the debut production of the company Tungurahua Producciones. Written by Juan María Hernández Guerra and directed by Marina Wainer, the play is inspired by the only known romantic relationship of poet Fernando Pessoa. On stage, a tormented and intimate Pessoa is caught between two paths: continuing down an introspective, self-destructive road with his heteronym Campos, or surrendering to the love and peaceful life offered by Ofelia. Set in a gray and melancholic Lisbon, the piece moves between poetry and drama, exploring the boundaries of desire, creation, and sacrifice.
