Day of Traditions: The Dances of the Past

The neighborhood of El Rincón, in Tenteniguada (Valsequillo), celebrates the"The Day of Traditions" as every year—an event dedicated to preserving and sharing the cultural heritage of the Canary Islands. In its 15th edition, under the theme “The Dances of the Past”, the celebration recreates rural life in the 20th century through demonstrations of traditional trades, craft exhibitions, popular games, and tastings of typical dishes such as watercress stew and pella de gofio. Music and folklore take center stage, with live performances encouraging everyone to join in the traditional dances.
