Temporary Exhibition: Xaxo

The Juan Ismael Art Center presents "Xaxo", an exhibition project that reflects on colonialism and the role of museums in shaping historical narratives, taking as its starting point the story of a Guanche mummy removed from the archipelago in the 18th century and now housed in a state institution, in order to question exhibition practices and the management of the cultural heritage of colonized peoples.
