Fiestas en honor a nuestra Señora de Candelaria

The Virgin of Candelaria is the Patron Saint of the Canary Islands. The festivity in his honor is celebrated in the middle of summer, on August 15, in the coastal town of Candelaria, and has been declared a Festival of National Tourist Interest.
This festival, closely linked to the aboriginal world, takes place from August 14, with the traditional floral offering or Romería de la Virgen with the participation of various folkloric groups. In addition, in the Plaza de la Basílica the ceremony stages the appearance of the Virgin to the Guanches, according to tradition.
