Fiestas del Carmen en el Barrio de la Isleta

During the month of July, the City Council of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and the Carmen Festival Commission of La Isleta join forces to present the program in honor of Our Lady of Carmen. This event will transform Calle Benartemi and Plaza Ingeniero Manuel Becerra into the epicenter of a celebration featuring a variety of events. From the traditional pealing of bells to the procession of the Aurora Rosary and the main festival day, the city adorns itself with folkloric, recreational, cultural, and sporting activities that will attract residents and visitors alike. The opening ceremony, highlighted by the proclamation led by Los Chancletas followed by a concert by the Bamboleo group, marks the beginning of a month filled with music and tradition.
