It qualifies for the Goya Awards in Spain, backed by the Academy of Cinematic Arts and Sciences. The festival portrays Lanzarote and the Canary Islands as high-quality hubs for cultural production. In addition, it promotes culture as a driving force of knowledge and wealth.
